Only a Holy God: Part 2--The Theology of God’s Holiness in Genesis
Genesis 9:1-17
Our sin made both the Flood and the Noahic covenant necessary.
1. Sin destroyed God’s design for humanity, but God’s holiness brought it back.
2. Sin attacked the image of God, but God’s holiness re-established its value.
3. Sin rightly brought about God’s holy justice, but the Noahic covenant re-established God’s holy justice AND mercy.
